The one-week autumn school will provide students and early career researchers a comprehensive perspective from physical principles of remote sensing acquisitions at different wavelengths to the cryosphere, open water and land applications. Participants will have the opportunity to engage directly with experts in various fields of remote sensing. Some lectures will also be dedicated to methodological aspects such as practical images download and processing with a focus on Sentinel data, data assimilation into land surface models and land surface characteristics retrieval through AI methods.
Theoretical lectures will be complemented by hands-on training providing practical expertise on remote sensing data processing and analysis. Students will receive a certificate of attendance. There is no fee for the autumn school but application is mandatory.
Application
The autumn school will take place from December 2 to 6, 2024. Applicants are invited to register and then submit a motivation letter and a CV. The application deadline is September 20, 2024. Selected applicants will be informed in early October.
